Each of us is on our own individual journey through life. At every stop along the way, we have the opportunity to learn something new — and, if we’re fortunate, to leave people, places, and/or things a little better for our having been there.
Sometimes that journey is literal and physical, whether we’re traveling far away to distant lands or walking across the street to see a neighbor. Other times, it’s figurative and conceptual, as we read, listen, discuss, and contemplate.
Whatever the specifics of our journey happen to be at any particular time and place, we can allow ourselves to be open to unexpected discoveries and curious about further possibilities beyond that with which we’re already comfortable and familiar.
